Birmingham (BHM) is the closest airport--an easy, 50-mile, 1-hour drive to Tuscaloosa, southwest on I59/20. Unfortunately, airport shuttles barely exist; but we hope to arrange our own informal shuttles.

From Birmingham or Atlanta, take I20/59 southwest.

From New Orleans, take I59 north.

From Dallas, take I20 east.

1. Take UNIVERSITY BLVD EAST (toward Alberta City).
2. Enter US-82/MCFARLAND BLVD going WEST.
   1.5 miles
3. Tricky part: Exit RIGHT onto RICE MINE RD, but turn LEFT at the stoplight at the end of the exit road.
   3.00 miles
4. Turn RIGHT onto NEW WATERMELON RD, a three-way intersection.
   2.32 miles
5. Church is on the LEFT.

1. Start out going Southwest on NEW WATERMELON RD--turning out of the parking lot to your RIGHT.
   2.23 miles.
2. Soon after crossing the dam, turn LEFT onto RICE MINE RD at the T intersection. Continue to follow RICE MINE RD. as it curves under MCFARLAND BLVD. (US82). Be sure to bear LEFT after you curve under MCFARLAND and reach a traffic light.
   6.08 miles.
3. Soon after you pass under LURLEEN WALLACE BLVD (US43) and RICE MINE RD. becomes 5TH STREET, turn LEFT onto MAIN AVE.
4. The Globe is right on the corner of 5TH STREET (aka, Rice Mine Rd.) and MAIN AVE. Park anywhere downtown.
